One post-doctoral position is available for a highly motivated and detail oriented PhD who aims to develop an independent research career. The candidate will be working in fully funded projects involving diabetic cardiomyopathy, fibrosis and cardiac regeneration/drug screening.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience with in vivo animal models (surgery and genotyping) and stem cell culture. Preference will be given to individuals with hands-on experience in seahorse & cardiomyocyte metabolism, stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes, confocal imaging and diabetes models. First-author publications are a must, along with the interest and capacity to obtain postdoctoral fellowships. The candidate must be driven, possess a sense of scientific curiosity, and enjoy working in a team-oriented and stimulating environment.
Compensation commensurate with experience plus full benefits (health, dental and pension plan option). We also provide a generous salary top when obtaining fellowships.
